Archive Centre, Spotswood is a VicTrack asset property that AAH was contracted to remediate. Works included asbestos removals and floor grinding throughout the property.
The challenges and critical factors to successfully complete the works were.
Scope of Works
- Remove all asbestos containing materials up to ‘non structural disturbance’
- Grind up to 100m2 of contaminated flooring
- Encapsulate divets to deep to grind
- Remove contaminated ceilings and grid work
- Guaranteed deadline, “works must be completed within 5 weeks”
- Additional concrete had to be laid to encapsulate old track area within the existing time restraints
- All works were completed within timeframe
- Met all of client’s requirements
- Works were completed in 3 sections
- 0 safety incidents
- Over 800 man hours worked
