Services Delivered
AAH dismantled the 30-metre steel tower in craned sections and transferred each to a purpose-built, bunded stripping zone on-site. Lead-based coatings were removed using chemical stripping agents and hot pressure washing, with all wastewater captured and filtered. Full-time air monitoring and strict containment controls ensured safety and compliance throughout the works.
Over five weeks, the tower was safely dismantled, decontaminated, and prepared for future reinstatement or preservation. All works complied with WorkSafe and EPA standards, with air monitoring confirming levels well below regulatory limits. The project preserved the tower's structural and heritage integrity, demonstrating AAH's expertise in complex remediation on sensitive urban heritage sites.
