Services Delivered
Engaged to remediate the shooting ranges at ATS Monegeetta, a Defence test and proving ground, AAH mobilised within a two-day turnaround from notification to being on site. Lead-contaminated sand was removed using conveyor belts of varying sizes to efficiently extract and later reinstate material across the 25m and 100m ranges, with a soil categorisation report completed in conjunction with explosives screening ahead of works. AAH's internal builders and carpenters carried out the reinstatement of formply, timber framing, treated pine sleepers and range-compliant packing sand, while all personnel underwent lead medical testing before and after works.
AAH safely removed and disposed of over 100 tonnes of Category A lead-contaminated sand and found a solution to safely stockpile material on site while awaiting the soil categorisation report, keeping the program moving without delay. The site team was commended by the client for its problem-solving in maintaining progress despite the reporting hold-up, demonstrating AAH's ability to manage contaminated materials in sensitive, security-controlled Defence environments.
