Ballarat Sports & Events Centre

Engaged to support the upgrade of the Ballarat Sports & Events Centre, AAH devised a screening solution for asbestos-contaminated soil that allowed remediated material to be reused in other areas of the works rather than sent entirely off site. With a tight deadline to meet, the full screening program was completed within a week to avoid delaying the live construction works proceeding in adjoining areas.

AAH screened over 650 m³ of soil in under a week, at a fraction of the cost of a full bulk-out. Contaminated soil was removed off site to the satisfaction of the client, while remediated, non-contaminated soil was successfully reused elsewhere on the project, saving the client both time and money. WorkSafe and the construction union confirmed they were satisfied with the asbestos removal works on site, demonstrating AAH's ability to deliver compliant remediation solutions under live construction constraints.
