Eastern Freeway - Tram to Springvale Road

AAH's first mobilisation to this newly awarded section of the North East Link (Tram to Springvale Road) for CPB Contractors was an emergency call-out to remove asbestos cement and pipe debris after an unforeseen asbestos find, delivered under CPB's direct supervision while staff inductions were still being arranged. The program has since scaled into a major soil load-out operation at Eram Park: excavating, stockpiling and loading approximately 8,000 m³ of contaminated soil, supported by AAH's own 21-tonne excavator and a hired 25-tonne excavator, with all vehicles and plant CheckRite and Damstra inducted for the site.

AAH resolved the initial emergency asbestos find swiftly, with the client appreciative of the quick response and AAH's clear explanation of WorkSafe notification timing, before scaling up to deliver the full 8,000 m³ soil load-out program under strict site induction and safety protocols, demonstrating AAH's ability to move from rapid emergency response to sustained, large-scale civil soil removal on the same live infrastructure program.
