Services Delivered
As principal contractor, AAH's main project scope involved removing and replacing 50+ fire doors with specialised heritage hardware, all reinstated to architectural specifications, and building a friable enclosure to safely remove asbestos and clean heritage components. Additional works included removing asbestos-containing gaskets from air handling units, replacing over 100 linear metres of bitumen pipe lagging, organising scaffold installation for hard-access asbestos cement sheet removal, replacing asbestos electrical components, and demolishing high-level ductwork. AAH also oversaw specialised texture re-coating of the front-of-house doors and coordinated the replacement of four main plumbing valves within a tight schedule to minimise operational disruption.
The project was completed successfully, maintaining both safety and heritage standards, further demonstrating AAH's expertise in complex asbestos removal and reinstatement projects within live, heritage-listed performance venues.
