Services Delivered
The hazardous materials package included the removal of over 4,500 m² of friable asbestos-containing coatings and other ACMs. The demolition scope involved soft and structural strip-out, including dismantling lightweight partitions and blockwork, removal of fixed joinery, suspended ceilings, HVAC ductwork, electrical fittings, and stripping contaminated coatings down to mortar joints to achieve final clearance. All works were sequenced across a mix of day and night shifts to minimise disruption and maintain access for campus operations.
The project was completed within a tight 6-month timeframe, showcasing AAH's capability in managing high-risk materials within an operational environment through detailed planning and flexible work scheduling. Undertaking the scope within a live operational environment presented significant complexity, which AAH approached with care, consideration and ongoing communication.
