AAH has contributed its expertise to multiple work fronts of the North East Link Program for Spark NEL DC JV, including the safe removal of friable and non-friable asbestos from buildings before demolition, collaborative engagement with demolition contractors on controlled demolitions, and remediation of more than 10,000 tonnes of soil with EPA-compliant transport and disposal of over 40,000 tonnes of heavily contaminated soil. Ongoing task orders since May 2024 have covered asbestos gas and cement pipe removal (including a 90 linear metre, 300mm diameter run near Macleod), Telstra pit debris removal, and continuous lining, loading and sealing of quad-dog trucks with asbestos-contaminated soil at the Bulleen work front.
AAH has sustained delivery across more than 85 task orders over a two-year-plus program, with more than 30 staff inducted across supervisor, labourer and excavator operator roles, demonstrating AAH's capacity to scale its workforce and deliver multiple concurrent work streams on one of Victoria's largest transport infrastructure programs.
